Purpose:
The Gallatin Valley Agriculture Committee, a joint committee of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, is made up of volunteers representing agri-business, natural resource conservation, and education in Gallatin County.
In part, our purpose is to provide educational programs relating to agriculture to the residents of Gallatin County. Since 2005, it has been the mission of the Gallatin Foundation, through the Gallatin Valley Agriculture Committee, to support continuing agricultural education programs to Gallatin County residents.
List of Objectives:
The objectives of the Gallatin Valley Agriculture Committee’s Farm Fair are:
- To provide an educational rural ranch atmosphere where students, teachers, and administrators have the opportunity to use their own senses of seeing, touching, hearing, smelling, and tasting to gain knowledge of where their basic food supply originates,
- To expose attendees to agricultural related sciences showing how food is grown and prepared for processing for human consumption.
- To demonstrate the commitment of those engaged in agriculture toward protecting Montana’s natural resources.
